Elephant Nature Park in Mae Tang near Chiang Mai has been flooded. Rescue operation for animals - not only elephants, but also dogs, cats and also pigs, cows and buffalos - are ongoing according to their Facebook page. As City Life Chiang Mai reports, one elephant has been conmfirmed dead, seventy remained in deep waters.

Saengduean Chailert, the director of Elephant Nature Park in Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, and president of the Save Elephant Foundation, posted a message on October 5 saying she was heartbroken to hear that at least two elephants had drowned the night before, Khaosod reports.
The elephants were hit by flood in their sleeping area, inside high fences.
